10 Games To Get Excited For This Fall 2017

Wolfenstein: The New Colossus

Release Date: October 27

Systems: Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC

About: Bethesda has been absolutely killing it with bringing old IPs to a new generation and Wolfenstein is one such example. Having played both The New Order and Old Blood, I can safely say that I’m hyped for Wolfenstein: The New Colossus. Duelling wielding weapons to mow down a bunch of Nazis? Sounds good to me.

Call of Duty: WWII

10 Games To Get Excited For This Fall

Release Date: November 3

Systems: Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC

About: Every year I end up buying Call of Duty and every year I usually refund it. Maybe this year will be different? Taking a page out of Battlefield‘s playbook, Call of Duty is returning to the time period that made the series so popular, WWII. While I haven’t seen much of the beta footage, I will say a good Call of Duty: WWII would be a nice treat this fall.

Need For Speed Payback

Release Date: November 10

Systems: Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC

About: Remember when arcade racing games were a thing? It has been a while since the genre had any really good hits. The last Need for Speed game I ventured into was 2012’s Most Wanted which was a fun, arcadey racer. Having only seen a little bit of footage on Need For Speed Payback, I can’t really say whether the game deserves hype or not. The game looks to be leaning heavily on the Fast and Furious hype train, which could be sweet if delivered correctly.

Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon

Release Date: November 17

Systems: Nintendo 3DS/2DS

About: I don’t know what it is about Pokemon, but I almost never get fatigue from the yearly releases. Maybe this is due to the uniqueness of the game or that Nintendo nostalgia, but regardless I usually pop on the new Pokemon every year. This years iteration comes in the form of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, which tells alternate stories to Sun and Moon and features new Pokemon.
