10 Games to Play this Halloween
5. League of Legends: The Teemoing
A ton of games are doing their own Halloween events and one of them is League of Legends. The League event is hands down the most terrifying game mode I’ve encountered as it revolves around summoning the satanic version of everyone’s favorite Yordle. If you want to have a sleepless Halloween night, The Teemoing is the game to play.
4. Dead By Daylight
If you want to spend your Halloween with other people, but not in person, check out Dead By Daylight. This survival, multiplayer game pits one player (the killer) against a group of survivors. By working together, the survivors can… survive and even escape. Dead By Daylight recently released Freddy Krueger as a playable killer, meaning you can spend your Halloween slicing and dicing your victims.
3. Five Nights at Freddy’s
Hold To Reset has a long running history with the FNAF franchise and has long been a financial supporter of anything created by Scott Cawthon. Given that FNAF has such a deep library, you can basically play any game from the series to get spooked. Combining being a security guard with animatronics has never been spookier. Spend your Halloween exploring the game that made Game Theorist, PewDiePie, and many other YouTubers into multi-billionaires.
2. The Walking Dead (Season 1)
Zombies are a pretty popular trope nowadays, but before they really hit the mainstream, Telltale released The Walking Dead (Season 1). This game was based on the popular AMC series, but told a new story within The Walking Dead universe. When The Walking Dead (Season 1) was released in 2012 it was met with immediate critical praise. While you may not be spooked by this game, you will be pulled into an interesting story that has zombies.
1. P.T
If you are one of the lucky few who still has P.T on a Playstation 4 then Halloween is the perfect time to play through the demo. P.T was a strange experiment in viral marketing and horror released by Kojima Productions. The demo was only an hour long, but featured a ton of interesting horror elements which all lead to a Silent Hills reveal. Unfortunately, the fallout on this project was huge and Silent Hills will never see the light of day. With that being said, the fact those events happened has created a mythology around P.T. which adds to the game’s mystery. Spend your Halloween exploring a piece of gaming history.
