Legendary Animals are scattered throughout the world for you to hunt. This map shows the general locations you will find them. The ones in the Blackwater region can only be hunted during endgame.

There are a total of 16 Legendary Animals for you to hunt in Red Dead Redemption 2. These animals can be found throughout the open world and reward you with their pelts when killed. These pelts can be traded to the Trapper for Legendary Outfits that look pretty cool. While most of the Legendary Animals can be hunted during the main story, there are a few that need to be hunted after completing the main story (since they are located in the Blackwater are). These Legendary Animals are:

If you want to craft any of the Legendary outfits associated with these animals, you will need to hunt them down in the Red Dead Redemption 2 end game.
