5 Things To Do After Beating Hollow Knight
Hollow Knight received a bit of an update this week in the form of The Grimm Troupe, and it’s gotten me back into the game. Since I’ve beaten Hollow Knight a number of times, I got thinking about the game’s endgame. If you’re interested in knowing what to do after beating Hollow Knight, I’m here to answer that question. Replay Hollow Knight on Steel Soul Mode
I like to consider myself a rather masochistic gamer, but Hollow Knight’s Steel Soul mode even has me nervous. Basically Steel Soul mode is a permadeath mode. This means that when you die, your save is gone. That’s it. All that remains is the mocking words, “Defeated” in the save slot. If you beat Hollow Knight and truly want to test your might, give Steel Soul mode a shot (only 0.5% of players on Steam have completed this feat). Explore the Recent Content Updates
One of the things I really appreciate about Team Cherry, is their commitment to supporting Hollow Knight. Complete Your Collection
There are a number of things to collect in Hollow Knight. These items range from Charms and upgrades, to monster information in the Hunter’s journal. If you are chasing that illusive 100%+ completion, you will want to collect everything. To do so, I highly recommend using this amazing map created by DEMAJEN. Speedrun The Game
Looking at the Hollow Knight achievements, I am actually surprised at how many are rather difficult to complete. Some of the more difficult achievements include speed running the game. So far I’ve only completed the game in under 10 hours, which I am rather proud of. With that being said, there are still a couple of speed running achievements I need to grab, and these ones ain’t easy.
Complete Side Quests
Hollow Knight features a surprising amount of sidequests you can complete. These sidequests expand the world and really help to flush out the story. There are also a number of achievements tied to their completion, which doesn’t hurt either. Unfortunately, many of the sidequests run parallel to the main story, which means it may be necessary to start a new game. Consult the Fandom Wiki to see all the side quests available.
Bonus: Wait For The Hornet DLC

Hollow Knight began its life as a Kickstarter. The Kickstarter featured a number of stretch goals of which many were hit. One stretch goal was the inclusion of Hornet as a playable character. When exactly this DLC will drop, remains to be seen, but the idea of Hornet DLC actually has me looking forward to 2018.
