Pokemon GO: 5 Tips to Start

Pokemon GO has taken over cellphones all over the world. If you are a trainer trying to be the very best, like no one ever was then these 5 tips can help you.

1.Pikachu Can Be a Starter:

If you don’t want to be stuck using one of the big 3 Pokemon (Bulbasaur, Squirtle or Charmander), you don’t have to. Popular Pokemon Pikachu is available to capture after Professor Willow’s introduction by following these steps.

2. Pokestops Are a Good Way to Resupply Items:

Pokestops are specific landmarks which contain various items for the player. In order to collect the items, simply go to the Pokestop, spin the image and tap the items to collect. Some of the items available to the player include:

• Pokeballs (Common)
• Revives
• Potions
• Pokemon Eggs (Uncommon)
• Candy
• Stardust

Pokestops are randomly generated and have a cool down timer, so return often to keep stocked on items.

3. Lucky Eggs Grant Bonus XP

A certain item (Lucky Eggs) in the game gives a double XP buff for 30 minutes when used. By using a Lucky Egg before evolving Pokemon, a player can net a ton of XP. Lucky Eggs can either be purchased or found.

• Evolving a Pokemon = 500 XP bonus.
• Lucky Eggs = a double XP buff that lasts for 30 minutes.
• Evolving a Pokemon with the Lucky Egg double XP = 1000 XP per evolution.

4. Lure Modules and Incense Help in Finding Pokemon

To increase your chances of finding wild Pokemon, both Incense and Lure Modules will help. Incense can be purchased or found at Pokestops and increase the chance of finding wild Pokemon for 30 mins. Lure Modules can be activated at Pokestops to increase Pokemon interactions.

5. Candy is Used to Evolve

When you collect enough candy for a specific Pokemon, these candy can be used to evolve that Pokemon. Pidgey for example requires twelve candies to evolve.
