NBA 2K17 MyCareer Adds Serious Talent
For those who have played the NBA 2K series, they will know that MyCAREER game mode is often done poorly, but this year NBA 2K17 MyCAREER is adding serious talent.
In a recent Facebook post, 2K sports shared some more information regarding a number of characters we will be seeing in NBA 2K17 MyCAREER. The first character is Justice Young who will be played by Creed and Fantastic Four actor Michael B. Jordan. Justice Young will act as your players partner. Like the great duos of the past, the Stockton and Malones, 2K is hoping to create more dynamic on the court. According to the post the back story on Justice Young is,
He’s a second round pick on your team that comes in with a bit of a chip on his shoulder, having been passed over and second-guessed for most of his basketball career. But Justice is a hard-worker and a great athlete, and if you show the same devotion to practice and working on your game that he does, he soon becomes an important figure in the fast-moving NBA world that’s opening up in front of your eyes.
While Michael B. Jordan is a huge talent to land, the game will also feature voice acting from Hannibal Buress as Ice the Barber, to Matt Walsh as your college coach, Hemsley Adson. With this talent, 2K needed someone to helm writing and direction and Aaron Covington was the man for the job. Aaron Covington was a writer for Creed and will hopefully bring some spice to the series.
Alongside the reveal of the talent in NBA 2K17 MyCAREER, is a bunch of new game additions. Orange Juice is a meter that represents the chemistry between MyPLAYER and Justice Young. Think of it like the Splash Brothers or Showtime. As a result, Orange Juice will allow players to control both Justice and MyPLAYER during games. This means more dynamic games. Communication has also been overhauled, as text messages are completely interactive.
NBA 2K17 releases this September 20 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
