For Honor Closed Alpha More Information Revealed
For Honor, an upcoming action hack and slash game by Ubisoft has been the talk of many recent conventions. With the game being slated for launch on February 14, 2017, closed alpha testing has begun. Recently, another round of the For Honor closed alpha has been announced by Ubisoft. Starting September 15th, the closed alpha will be accessible to those who are lucky enough to get an invite.
Players who participate in the closed alpha will be able to access three of the five multiplayer modes: Duel, Brawl, and Dominion mode. Within each mode, players will be able to try out half of the character classes. Ubisoft will also be using the For Honor closed alpha to give a first look at the games progression system. As players battle within each game mode, they gain experience which can be used on unlocks. Each new rank will unlock a new batch of items from weapons and armor, customization options on your fighter and abilities. The closed alpha test will run until September 18th.
New Characters
Alongside the announcement of the For Honor closed alpha, was the reveal of three new character classes in the game. The three classes shown were the The Orochi, The Berserker and The Conqueror.
Orochi are part of the Samurai faction. From the gameplay footage, they appear to be fast, agile soldiers who pack a punch. Their weapon of choice is the katana.
Berserker are part of the Viking faction. They fight with twin axes and have a very brutal, hard hitting style to their fighting.
Conqueror are part of the Knight faction. They utilize shield and flail and appear to utilize a mix of defense and offense to get the job done.
All three factions are locked in a fierce battle between each other. For Honor launches on February 14, 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
