Gwent Getting a Kill the Servers Stress Test
Gwent, CD Projekt Red’s famous Witcher card game is undergoing a server test very soon. On a post here, CD Projekt Red has released more details on the event. A Kill the Servers test for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game will take place this Friday, September 23, from 11am ET / 8am PT to 3pm ET / 12pm PT, and Tuesday, September 27, from 2pm ET / 11am PT to 6 pm ET / 3 pm PT.
The Kill the Servers event, will only be available to PC players. Deck building & levelling will not be included in the event. In order to participate, players must be signed up for the game’s closed beta that’s launching in late October. Getting into KtS does not guarantee getting into the beta however.
There is a limit on the number of keys available for the Kill the Servers Event, so things will be dispersed on a first come, first serve basis. What this means to the average player remains unclear. CD Projekt Red has promised to stay ahead of the rush, stating ” We will publish exact hours of code distribution via our social media (Twitter and Facebook).”
The stress test is designed to push servers to their limit. If you do not get in to the KtS event, there is a closed beta planned for October. Maybe things will work out better there for you.
