Katana ZERO Murdower Hotel Guide
After you’ve spoken to your employer, you will head off to the Murdower Hotel. This level takes place in a hotel and you will need to fight through a number of enemies to reach the top floor. To help you get there check out our Katana ZERO Murdower Hotel guide below.
Murdower Hotel Room 1: Reception
When you enter the hotel you will be in the reception area. Here you will be stopped by a female receptionist. She will talk to you about your outfit. How you handle the receptionist determines what you face at the end of the mission:
- If you want, you can be rude to her and piss her off (as seen in the picture above). This results in the police opening fire when they see you at the end of the mission.
- If your nice to her (by answering her questions with real answers), she will cover for you at the end of the mission when the police arrive.
The receptionist will be eliminated by your employer if you make her angry.
Murdower Hotel Room 2: Elevator
In the next room you will need to interact with the elevator in the middle of the room. As soon as you interact with it, step so you are standing on the right side of it. When it opens attack the guy inside. The other elevator guy will close the door and call his boss. Continue right to the next room.
Murdower Hotel Room 3: Three Brawler Enemies
After the elevator room you will arrive in a room with three brawlers on the two floors above you. This room aims to teach you about throwing objects. There are a couple of throwable items in this room. To clear the room easily, throw the plant on the first floor at the brawler on the second floor and then throw the lamp on the second floor at the brawler on the third floor. Take out the last brawler with your katana. Head right to the next room.
Murdower Hotel Room 4: Multiple Enemies
In this room there are multiple enemies including new melee enemies. These enemies can sometimes take two hits instead of one to defeat (they get dazed sometimes). With that in mind here’s the best strategy for this room. Take out the two enemies on the first floor with your katana then head upstairs. Grab the lamp off the table then head into the room on your right. Take out both brawlers using your katana. Head upstairs to the left and take out the melee guy in the room by himself. Use your lamp to hit the brawler on the third floor. Take out the remaining melee enemies using katana and plant.
Murdower Hotel Room 5: Door in Middle of Room
After clear out the last room you will arrive in a room with two enemies who are standing by a door in the center. Take out both enemies then stand by the door they were standing beside. A gun enemy will appear out that door. Take him out then take out the two melee enemies that will rush you from left and right sides of the floor. Go into the door in the middle to reach the next room.
Murdower Hotel Room 6: Multiple Rooms
This next sequence involves clearing out multiple rooms which are attached by hallways with laser traps in them. The first room features a brawler and two melee enemies. Use the lamp and door to take out two of the enemies and then katana the last one. Take out the two brawlers in the hallway with the laser traps then roll through the traps. After this hallway you will reach a second room with two melee enemies in it. Take out both enemies then wall jump to the next area.
Murdower Hotel Room 7: Target’s Room
READ ACHIEVEMENTS BEFORE COMPLETING.The last room has the target in it. To reach the target you will need to take out a number of enemies and avoid a number of laser traps by going out onto the balcony. Once you reach the end of the room you will come face to face with the target who will jump to his death regardless of what you choose (unless you complete the achievement). Once you’ve taken care of the target, return to the elevator (watch out for the laser traps as you head back and the guy in the elevator!).
On the ground floor you will be stopped by police. If you were nice to the receptionist, she will cover for you and the police will let you go. If you were mean two police officers will open fire on you.
Achievement: Master Key
Achievement Description – “You stopped a suicide. With a murder.”
Pick up the statue before the target (seen above) and throw it at the target after opening the door but before stepping out onto the balcony. This will kill the target. Loot his body to get the Master Key item and achievement.
Achievement: What a Bad Idea (Murdertower Hotel)
Achievement Description: “Jump off the balcony of the penthouse.”
At the end of the Murdertower Hotel mission you will arrive on a large balcony. Jump off the balcony to get the what a bad idea achievement.
Apartment – Meet Neighbor then Sleep
After you’ve cleared the Murdower Hotel, you will return to your apartment. Before you enter the apartment, you will get bumped by a little girl who is you neighbor. You can speak with this girl or tell her to go away. Once you’ve done either, drink your tea and go to sleep. You will meet with the employer again and receive you next target. This takes us to Club Neon the next level.
