Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening Heart Container Locations
In The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening players can increase Link’s total health by collecting Heart Containers. Collecting four Pieces of Hearts results in a full heart upgrade for Link. Mabe Village
Mabe Village is the starting location you will wake up in at the start of the game. In this area you will find a number of Heart Pieces to collect. Check out their locations below.
Piece of Heart #1: Trendy Game
In Mabe Village there is a Trendy Game you can play for 10 Rupees per try. In this game you will find a Piece of Heart. Grab the Piece of Heart with the claw to collect.
Piece of Heart #2: Town Tool Shop
In the Town Tool Shop of Mabe Village you will find a Piece of Heart for 200 Rupees.
Piece of Heart #3: Town Well
On the west side of Mabe Village you can enter the Town Well by dropping into from the ledge above. Inside the well you will find a Piece of Heart.
Piece of Heart #4: Fishing Minigame
If you head to the north in Mabe Village you will uncover a fishing minigame. In this minigame if you catch the medium sized fish, you will find the Piece of Heart inside its mouth.
Piece of Heart #5: Fishing Minigame
During that same minigame if you catch a Lunker (the green fish) the fisherman will give you a Piece of Heart to mark the occasion. Not bad!
Mysterious Forest
North of the Mabe Village you will find the Mysterious Forest. Inside this area you can find a Piece of Heart. Consult the location below to find it.
Piece of Heart #6: Inside Cave
Required Item: Power Bracelet.
In the Mysterious Forest there is a cave you can enter via a log. Inside this cave make your way to the second room to find a Piece of Heart. To reach this Piece of Heart use follow the image above. Note the skulls need to be lifted with the Power Bracelet.
Koholint Prairie
To the west of the Mysterious Forest you will find the Koholint Prairies. In this area there are a few Piece of Hearts to collect. Check them out below.
Piece of Heart #7: Jump Over Hole
Required Item: Roc’s Feather.
North of the Witch’s Hut you will find this Piece of Heart surrounded by a number of holes. Jump across the holes to grab it.
Piece of Heart #8: Inside Cave
Required Item: Roc’s Feather and Power Bracelet.
If you head to the south of the Witch’s Hut you will find a staircase surrounded by boulders. Use your Power Bracelet to moves these boulders and go down the stairs into the cave. Make your way right in the cave and you will see the Piece of Heart in the corner of the room. Move the block right then use that space to jump to the ledge on the bottom right. Jump from that ledge to the Piece of Heart.
Tabahl Wasteland
To the east of Crazy Tracy’s house in Koholint Prairie you will find the Tabahl Wasteland. In this area you will find PIeces of Hearts.
Piece of Heart #9: By Tree
In the top right corner of this area you will find a Piece of Heart by some trees.
Ukuku Prairie
Directly east of Mabe Village is the location called Ukuku Prairie. In this area you will find a number of Piece of Hearts. Read more below on how to find them.
Piece of Heart #10: Inside Cave
Required Item: Power Bracelet.
You will find this piece inside a cave in the Ukuku Prairie. Like the Mysterious Woods you need to move the stones around to reach the Piece of Heart. Use your Power Bracelet to move the skull.
