How to Change Character Appearance in Code Vein

Let’s be honest, Code Vein is a glorified waifu simulator, and that’s okay. At the start of the game you will character a character that is either male or female. This initial character creation may seem to lock your look in, but fear not. As you progress you will unlock the ability to change your appearance. Below I will walk you through how to change your character appearance in Code Vein.

Access the Dressing Table in Home Base

To start you need to make your way to the area called Home Base. This hub area is found directly after the Ruined City Underground starting area. In this hub area you gain access to a number of services. One service, a mirror, can be found to the right of the NPC named Coco. You can interact with this mirror to access character customization.

Customization Options

Once you interact with the mirror you will be taken to the starting character customization screen. From here you will have access to all the changes you could make at the start of the game. Appearance adjustments include:

  • Skin.
  • Hair.
  • Eyes.
  • Eyebrows.
  • Makeup.
  • Scars/Other.
  • Face Paint.
  • Accessories.
  • Clothing.
  • Purifier Mask.
  • Mask Frame.

If you aren’t happy with how your character turned out, or simply want to change their look. These options listed above will allow you to do just that. The only thing you can’t change is gender. Happy waifuing!
