Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Memory of Sai Mota Guide
Upon completion of the main story of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep you will unlock a number of endgame missions. These endgame missions challenge you with completing certain events to unlock weapons and armor. One mission you will unlock is the Memory of Sai Mota. Learn how to complete this quest using our Memory of Sai Mota guide below.
Start Memory of Sai Mota Quest
To start this quest complete the main storyline of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep and return to Eris Morn. When you speak to Eris you will receive the Sai Mota quest. You will also want to grab the Lunar Spelunker Bounty while you are here as well. Be warned this quest is long and winding, so buckle up.
Complete the Lunar Spelunker Bounty
To start the Memory of Sai Mota quest you actually need to complete the bounty we picked up above called the Lunar Spelunker. This bounty challenges you with completing the following:
- K1 Communion Lost Sector Looted.
- K1 Crew Quarters Lost Sector Looted.
- K1 Logistics Lost Sector Looted.
Completing all three of the above mentioned Lost Sectors will reward you with the Firewall Data Fragment, a necessary component for the Memory of Sai Mota mission. If you need a more in depth guide on this bounty, check it out here.
Go to K1 Revelation Lost Sector
Once you’ve completed the Lunar Spelunker bounty take the Firewall Data Fragment and head to the K1 Revelation Lost Sector. This may shock you, but it is the one we didn’t visit during the Lunar Spelunker bounty. To find this Lost Sector make your way to the Sorrow’s Harbor location and head into the cave there.
Finding the Data Room
Head through the Lost Sector until you reach the boss room shown in the photo above. Inside this room you will find two exits. Take the one on your right to reach the Data room. Walk up to the door here and select Input Firewall Data Fragments. When you do this the door will open. Go inside and interact with the console there. You will receive an item called the Sai Mota’s Broken Necklace. With this item in hand head outside to the exterior area of Sorrow’s Harbor.
Collect Sai Mota Necklace Scraps
With the necklace in hand you will now have a new objective. Using Arc abilities defeat Nightmare enemies on the Moon to collect 20 Necklace Scrap. My approach was to simply run around the Sorrow’s Harbor area farming the various Nightmare bosses that spawn there. Regardless of how you do this, be sure you have Arc abilities active! Once you complete this mission you will unlock the Sai Mota’s Repaired Necklace. Return to Sanctuary.
Give Necklace to Eris
When you return to the Sanctuary you will notice Eris is missing and there is a portal next to where you normally find Eris. Head through the portal and make your way to Eris. Watch the brief scene then give the Necklace to Eris. Upon giving Eris the necklace you will be able to access the chest here. Open the chest to get the Symphony of Death and the A Fine Memorial weapon. This concludes the Memory of Sai Mota mission.
