Fortnite Chapter 2 is now live and with the launch comes a slew of new gameplay features including fishing. As the trailer suggested players are now able to fish in the popular battle royale title. So how does one start fishing. The guide below will show you how to fish in Fortnite Chapter 2.
Fishing in Fortnite Chapter 2
To start you need to find a Fishing Rod. Fishing Rods can be found in various locations. We found a Fishing Rod in the Fishing Hut beside the Lighthouse to the northwest of Pleasant Park. Though it appears the Fishing Rod can be found across the island so keep a lookout for it.
Once you have the Fishing Rod it will get added to your item bar for use like other items in Fortnite Chapter 2. With the Fishing Rod in hand head to the nearest body of water. Cast the fishing line into the body of water and wait for a bite (the bobber will bob).
At this point reel the line in. You will have a catch of sorts on the line. So far we’ve caught fish, weapons, and building resources. Fish appear to be consumable items that will heal you when consumed.
