How to Get Gigantamax Eevee/Pikachu in Pokemon Sword and Shield
A new edition to Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield is the Gigantamax Pokemon. These Pokemon replace the Mega Evolution mechanic from previous generations. In short Giganatamax Pokemon receive boosts to stats and gain access to special G-Max Moves when triggered. They also grow in size and change appearance. Have a Let’s Go Eevee/Let’s Go Pikachu Play Record on Your Switch
The first step to get one or both of these Gigantamax Pokemon is to have a play record of either Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee or Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu on your Nintendo Switch. The play record for the version of the game you have dictates which Pokemon you will get:
- Let’s Go Eevee: Unlocks Gigantamax Eevee.
- Let’s Go Pikachu: Unlocks Gigantamax Pikachu.
Once you have a play record of either (or both) of the title listed above you will gain access to the event Pokemon. These Pokemon can then be accessed in game by speaking to specific NPCs.
Talk to Train Station Kid NPCs to Get Eevee/Pikachu
Once you have a save on your system make your way to the Wild Area Station (train station before entering Wild Area). In this station you will see two kid NPCs standing near the entrance to the Wild Area. Talk to the kids and they will ask if you have experience with Eevee or Pikachu. If you have a save file on your system they will give you the respective Pokemon. These Pokemon can be Gigantamaxed which is pretty awesome.
