How to Solve the Turffield Stones Puzzle in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield

After making your way down Route 4 you will arrive in Turffield. In this town to the west you will find a number of interesting stones. These stones are part of a stone puzzle. Here’s how to solve the Turffield stones puzzle in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield.

How to Start Treasure Hunt in Turffield?

To start the puzzle make your way up to the girl standing by the rock where you speak to Sonia. Speak to the girl to learn that there is a treasure buried somewhere in Turffield. She will give you a hint that states “Seek yourself three standing stones, with Grass before the other ones. Use well that strength, and find then the strength of its strength in the end. Dally not, if you’ve a mind to find what time has left behind.” With this hint you can solve the puzzle.

How to Solve Turffield Stone Puzzle

The Stones in Turffield are attached to each other through the riddle the little girl tells you. To solve the riddle you need to interact with the stones in a specific order. The proper order of interacting with the stones are as follows:

Interact with Grass Stone

The first stone you want to interact with is located near the stadium in the bottom left area. There are three stones here you will find standing there. Interact with them to read the word “Grass.”

Interact with Water Stone

From the Grass Stone make your way up to the area by the little girl to find three more stones. Interact with these stones to read the word “Water.”

Interact with Fire Stone

The final stone you need to interact with is the Fire Stone. The Fire Stone can be found to the far right near the exit leading to Route 5. It is a single stone. Approach the stone and interact with it. Upon interaction you will receive the Expert Belt.

The Expert Belt is an item you can give a Pokemon to hold that slightly boosts the power of supereffective moves. It is not a bad item to place on your Pokemon as you advance the main story of the game.
