How to Buy a House in Vigil: The Longest Night
In Vigil: The Longest Night there are a number of ways for players to spend money on things like items, armor and even your own house. That’s right in the Maye Town there is a house you can buy and decorate. This process is a bit convoluted, but I will walk you through each step in the how to buy a house in Vigil: The Longest Night guide below.
Reach the Second World (Defeated The Ancient Guard)
First things first you need to advance the game some before you have the opportunity of buying you own house. If you didn’t already know there are essential two versions of the world you will play in during you playthrough of Vigil: The Longest Night. The second world is reached after defeating The Ancient Guard boss in the area called Death’s Destination. Once this boss is defeated you will wake up in the second world.
Buy House for 10,000 From Buffe
In the second world you will need to fight different bosses in different areas of the game. While completing these tasks (I checked after beating three of them) an NPC named Buffe will appear in Maye Town in front of the home next to the Smithy. Speak to Buffe and he will offer to sell you his house for 10,000,000 gold. Say no and the price will drop down to 10,000 gold. Pay the 10k and you will become the proud owner of a house. This unlocks the I’m Rich achievement.
That’s all you need to know to get your own house in Vigil: The Longest Night. When the house is yours you can begin to place decorations you find inside it. You will also unlock an Owl Statue allowing you to fast travel to your house.
