How to Start the Cayo Perico Heist in GTA Online
On December 15th Rockstar released a new major update for GTA Online. This update, called the Cayo Perico Heist, added an entirely new island as the location of a new heist. Meet Miguel Midrazo in The Music Locker
To start the Cayo Perico Heist you will need to ensure you own a Penthouse property at the The Diamond Casino. If you own this property you gain access to The Music Locker club in the basement of the casino.
In the basement you will see a green M on your map. Head over to the M to meet Miguel Midrazo in the VIP section. This will trigger a cutscene. This cutscene sets off the heist. Before you can buy the sub you have to complete this meeting with Miguel Midrazo .
After your meeting with Miguel you will need to purchase the Kosatka submarine from Warstock Cache & Carry. The submarine will set you back $2.2 million – $9.085 million depending on your customization.
Launch the First Heist Mission From Sub
Once you own the submarine Pavel will call you. With access to the sub you can begin planning the heist itself. Head to your submarine which will be docked along the shore of the city.
Inside the submarine there is another cutscene where you meet Pavel the submarine captain. After the cutscene register as a CEO or MC and access the planning screen in the control room to start the first planning mission. This first mission tasks you with doing recon on the island.
