How to Get the Resident Evil Outfits in The Division 2

During the Resident Evil 8 livestream Capcom announced they were holding a crossover event with The Division 2. This crossover event was slated to start on February 2 and end on February 15. While the event was active players had the chance to unlock a number of different Resident Evil outfits for their characters in The Division 2. How to Get the Leon Kennedy RPD Outfit (Login Reward)

The first outfit you can unlock is the easiest of the bunch to get. All you need to do to receive the Leon Kennedy RPD outfit is login to the game while the event is running from February 2-15. When you get into the game you will receive the following Leon Kennedy RPD items:

  • Pants.
  • Shoes.
  • Shirt.

All three of the outfit items listed above will land in your apparel inventory. Simply equip them if you wish to run around looking like Leon Kennedy.

How to Get the Rest of the Resident Evil Outfits

Leon Kennedy isn’t the only outfit you can grab while playing The Division 2. There are a number of other Resident Evil outfits for players to unlock. The rest of these outfits come from opening the Resident Evil apparel caches. These caches can be found on the Apparel Cache screen. Opening these caches requires using Resident Evil apparel cache keys. These keys can be bought for 100 PC or earned by gaining SHD levels (one key every four levels). The outfits unlockable in the crates are:

Chris Redfield Outfit

Chris Redfield first appeared in Resident Evil in 1996 as one of the game’s central protagonists. Since that time this icon character has appeared in a number of other game’s and other Capcom properties. The Chris Redfield outfit contains the following:

  • Shirt.
  • Pants.
  • Boots.
  • Venery dye from unlocking outfit.

All of the above items are Superior quality and have a 4.8% chance of being acquired from the Resident Evil apparel caches.

Umbrella Operative Outfit

The Umbrella Operative is a faceless character that works for the nefarious Umbrella Corporation. This character appears in many of the Resident Evil games and is known for its iconic red eye mask. The outfit items for this look are:

  • Helmet.
  • Pants.
  • Shirt.
  • Boots.
  • Turmoil and Agency dyes from unlocking outfit.

All of the items listed above are High-End. This means you have a 4.8% chance of acquiring them from the event caches.

Jill Valentine Outfit

Rebecca Chambers first appeared in Resident Evil as a central protagonist. This character is arguably one of the most iconic from the series. To look like Jill you need to unlock the following four items:

  • Boots.
  • Pants.
  • Beret.
  • Shirt
  • Uniform dye from completing outfit.

All of the items listed above are Superior. This means you have a 4.8% chance of acquiring them from the event caches.

Rebecca Chambers

Rebecca Chambers first appeared in Resident Evil in a supporting role. This character then went on to become the central protagonist in Resident Evil Zero. The items you can earn from her outfit are:

  • Shirt.
  • Pants.
  • Boots.

All of the items listed above are Specialized. This means you have a 4.8% chance of acquiring them from the event caches.

Non-Outfit Items

Alongside the complete outfits listed above there are a number of apparel items you can unlock in the caches as well. These items are Resident Evil based and have a 4.8% chance of unlocking. The non-outfit items are:

Weapon Skins (5 High-End)

  • Scratch Pad.
  • Decorator.
  • Dapper.
  • Crimson.
  • Corporate.

Jackets (2 Specialized)

  • Leon Kennedy Jacket.
  • Claire Redfield Jacket.

Besides these items there is one item for unlocking everything and items tied to completing Daily Projects. Both of these unlocks I discuss more in detail below.

Nemesis Mask

The Nemesis Mask is the final item you will receive from the Resident Evil caches. This is the completion reward for collecting all of the items during this apparel event. The mask can be seen above. It looks pretty good when equipped. This item is High-End quality.

The Division 2 Daily Project Resident Evil Item Unlocks

There are a number of items tied to completing the Daily Projects players can unlock. These items are the Backpack Trophies and Arm Patches. Each day you complete a level 40 Daily Project (called STARS Support and Assault projects) you will receive a random Backpack Trophy and Arm Patch. The possible unlocks are:

Backpack Trophies

  • T-Virus
  • Jill Sandwich
  • Zombie Hand
  • RPD Badge
  • Ink Ribbon
  • Doberman
  • Licker

Arm Patches

  • S.T.A.R.S.
  • Umbrella Corporation
  • RPD
  • Resident Evil 25th Anniversary
