Age of Empires 4 Announced with Trailer
The last Age of Empires game to release was Age of Empires 3 back in 2005. To say fans of the series have been waiting ages, seems apt. However, it appears that after today’s announcement, those waiting for a new Age of Empires title, won’t be waiting much longer. Publisher Microsoft Studios announced that Age of Empires 4 is in development. Hooray!
Normally, Age of Empires was headed up by Ensemble Studios, but since Ensemble no longer exists, design is being helmed by Relic Entertainment. Relic Entertainment has released a slew of real – time strategy bangers including Homeworld, Company of Heroes and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. With so much experience in the RTS genre, it appears that Age of Empires is still in good hands.
Age of Empires 4 Announcement Trailer
The announcement trailer for Age of Empires 4 doesn’t show of a whole lot, but does talk about the rise and fall of empires (standard fare). As it appears the game is in the early development stage, I wouldn’t expect a release date anytime soon. With that being said, fans that have waited this long, can probably wait a little longer.
