Project Octopath Traveler New Trailer Shown
In the Nintendo Direct yesterday, Square Enix showed off more of their upcoming RPG, Project Octopath Traveler. Slated to release on the Nintendo Switch, Project Octopath Traveler utilizes what is called “HD – 2D” graphics engine, to create a pop up book looking RPG experience. In Project Octopath Traveler, players can choose from eight playable characters with their own unique abilities and backstories. For example, Primrose is a dancer who uses Allure to persuade other travelers to follow her anywhere, while Olberic is a warrior who has the ability to challenge anyone to a duel.
As of yesterday, Nintendo Switch owners can try a new demo of Project Octopath Traveler. Following the demo, Nintendo will be sending out a survey to demo players in order to gather feedback and further develop the game. How the game shapes out, is largely still to be decided, but so far, it looks promising.
Project Octopath Traveler wasn’t the only games announced at the Nintendo Direct yesterday. Bethesda revealed that they are bringing two of their other ips to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
