Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Yule Festival Guide
Tis the season to be jolly and joyous, and a Viking in England. The holiday’s have come to Eivor and the inhabitants of the Ravensthorpe colony. Thanks to the Season 1 Update 1 (v 1.1.0) the colony is getting into the festive cheer with the celebration called the Yule Festival. This festival brings a variety of activities to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. If you want to know what they are and how to complete them see our Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Yule Festival guide below.
How to Start the Yule Festival
The Yule Festival begins immediately open entering the eastside of your colony after you’ve downloaded Season 1 Update 1. You will trigger a cutscene upon entering where Eivor and Norvid will speak on the festive look of the settlement. This festive change is thanks to a group called the ‘revelers.’ While this festival is active you can complete a number of side quests to earn the event currency called Yule Tokens you can use to buy event items from Norvid like Armor, Settlement cosmetics, and Tattoos.
Complete Yule Festival Events for Yule Tokens
Once you’ve begun the festival you will want to start collecting the Yule Tokens. This can be done by completing Yule Festival Events. All of the events you can complete are marked on your map. These events are fairly standard and have multiple parts to them. The events you can complete are:
- Brawl: Talk to Sunniva to start this side quest. To complete this quest you need to defeat fighters across a total of 10 rounds. Each round gets progressively harder through harder enemies and fight restrictions like blurred visions and not being able to lock on. You earn 70 Yule Tokens for completing the 10 rounds.
- Braun’s Folly: Speak to Braun and challenge him to a drinking match. Each time you win the match you will receive 10 Yule Tokens.
- Twilight Targets: Head over to Thyra and speak to her to start a target shooting competition. This competition tasks you with scoring as many points as you can in 2 minutes by shooting targets with your bow. Each win will net you 10-40 Yule Tokens depending on how many points you score (Red targets are worth the most). Above 1100 nets you 40 Yule Tokens.
- Build a Brewery > Case of the Missing Ale: If you have a brewery or build one you can unlock a side quest called The Case of the Missing Ale (click for guide). This quest pays you 140 Yule Tokens and unlocks Ake as an opponent to fight during Braun’s Folly.
- Build Cattle Farm Building > Cow Catcher: If you have the Cattle Farm or build one you can unlock a side quest called Cow Catcher (click for guide). This quest pays you 140 Yule Tokens and unlocks Bertham as an opponent to fight during Braun’s Folly.
All of the above activities can be replayed for Yule Tokens to your hearts content. If you want all of the available equipment from this event you will need to replay some of these activities to get token. With that said if you can consistently score +1100 on the archer game it is the fastest token farm. You will need 775 Yule Tokens to buy everything from Norvid.

As I mentioned earlier there are a number of themed items players can purchase from Norvid using the Yule Tokens they earn. These items come in a wide range of types and are found in the list below:

and the skulls
Am I the only one that thinks the armor set looks meh?
Question, since some people already beat the game waiting on new DLC, if we finish the Yuletide festival and start a new game will we receive back the armor and weapon from festival? I tried loading a previous save and the armor and weapons didn’t transfer to loaded save from beginning of game.
