Where to Find the Revenge of the Cartels Puzzle
Make your way to the area called Grand-Baller Room on the second floor of the The House That Joey Built. Here you will need to clear out all the spawning enemies until an Underboss appears. Once this Underboss appears defeat it and enter the door that the Underboss came through. Inside this office room you will find a desk with a keyboard, four TVs on the entrance wall, and a number of bookshelves.
How to Solve the Revenge of the Cartels Puzzle
Inside the puzzle room go behind the desk and interact with the keyboard that has the green light on it. When you trigger this keyboard shapes will appear on the TV screens on the wall directly in-front of you. Take note of the four shapes that appear on the TV screens from left to right. With the shape sequence in-mind head over to the far right bookshelf on the west wall. Here’s where things get a little bit confusing.
On this bookshelf you will see the three possible shapes you can see on the TV screens sitting on different shelves. From left to right you will see the Triangle, Cube, and Circle. Above each shape on the bookshelf you will see empty shelves. Each time you do the puzzle three gold pieces will fill in an empty spot on the shelves above each shape (one gold piece above each shape). The position of the gold pieces tells you the number that corresponds to the TV shape found below it (see screenshot). Once you know the numbers for each shape you can then use the TV sequence to determine the number code. This number code can be inputted via the numbered books on the bookshelf on the south wall next to the desk with the keyboard on it. Here’s an example of how to solve the puzzle using the pictures above:
- TV Sequence: Square, Triangle, Circle, Square.
- Corresponding Numbers:
- Triangle = 1.
- Square = 5.
- Circle = 9.
- Bookshelf Input: 5,1,9,5.
When inputted correctly the bookshelf on the east wall will open to reveal a hidden room with a number of chests inside it. The first time you access this room you will unlock the Every Mansion Needs a Puzzle challenge. If you fail to input the sequence correctly a grenade will spawn and you will be locked out of completing the puzzle for this playthrough.
This was 100% unhelpful. Spent pore time trying to decipher the author’s instructions than I did doing the puzzle once I found an actual helpful guide.
