Catacombs Guide – Vigil: The Longest Night
Through the Cemetery in Vigil: The Longest Night you will reach a new area called the Catacombs. In this area you will find a number of enemies, items, and even a boss fight. Like other locations you will want to explore as much as you can to find items that may be useful to your playthrough. To help you navigate this area use our Catacombs guide for Vigil: The Longest Night below.
Catacombs Map and Guide
When you first enter the Catacombs head left immediately to get 1x Fledgling’s Blood Soul. After you’ve grabbed this item head to the right and follow the path until you drop down. Grab the nearby 2x Healing Potions and head down the path leading to the left.
Follow this path left until you reach a suspended cage below you. Hit the cage to drop it and fight the enemy it turns out to be. From here head left to find water falling off the left wall. Jump up to the edge here then jump up to the suspended coffin above. Double jump from the coffin to the left to reach a treasure chest that has the Ritual Daggers inside it.
Drop down to the path below and continue heading right. The next few sections are a bit confusing as you will encounter a number of cages that drop onto the ground, causing the ground to give way. There are a number of items you can get by simply exploring these areas so look around. One item you will find is the Secret Key. This key opens the locked door in the Professor’s Home in Maye Town. In this locked area you will find the Bloody Beat.
To reach the Owl Statue in the Catacombs always follow the paths heading right whenever possible. Eventually you will reach the statue where I recommend you save your game before continuing.
Jump above the statue it to find a treasure chest with 200 Gold in it on the left-side and 1x Small Shimmer Stone on the right-side. Once you have both of these items head to the right of the statue to reach an area where a flashback will play. After this flashback you will receive the Scarlet Ocarina. Use it in the middle of the arch to head a new area called Death’s Destination.
