Chronos Before the Ashes Boss List
Chronos Before the Ashes is a prequel to the events that take place in Remnant From the Ashes. Like Remnant, Chronos features a variety of enemies for players to fight including bosses. To keep track of the various bosses you fight throughout your playthrough consult our Chronos Before the Ashes Boss List below.
Notes:
- There are a total of 6 bosses to fight in the game.
- None of the bosses are optional.
- Every boss has an achievement for beating it.
Krell Guardian
The first boss you will need to defeat in Chronos Before the Ashes is called the Krell Guardian. This boss is referred to in-game as the cyclops as it fittingly only posses one eye on the top of its head. To complete this fight you need to enter the boss arena via the mirror on the far end of the room. Doing this will cause your character to enlarge allowing you to deal and take damage from this enemy. When you defeat the Krell Guardian you unlock The Bigger They Are… achievement.
Stone Golem
The Stone Golem is the second boss you will face while playing through the game. This boss is located at the bottom of the pit you reach after completing the Pan statue puzzle. Once this puzzle is complete you have to defeat this boss to advance. When this boss is defeated you receive the Golem’s Eye item the Blacksmith is looking for and will unlock the All Seeing Eye achievement.
Red Widow
In the second world about half-way through you will enter a sort of throne room area. In this room you will encounter the Red Widow. This boss will fight you once you’ve defeated the two guards next to her throne area. When you beat this boss she drops a scepter (used for a couple of puzzles) and you unlock the Your Royal Highness achievement.
Pan Guardian
After you defeat the Red Widow you will need to complete the second half of the second world. At the end of this world you will encounter the world boss called the Pan Guardian. This multi-limbed machine carries four greatswords it uses to attempt to defeat you. When you defeat the Pan Guardian you will unlock the Many Faces, Few Words achievement.
Labyrinth Guardian
At the very end of the third world, called the Labyrinth, you will meet the Labyrinth Guardian world boss. This boss is a large dark creature that rolls around through much of the fight. I don’t know if my game was bugged at the time, but when it appeared it had half health. Defeating this boss allows you to reach the game’s ending area and unlocks the What is the Labyrinth? achievement.
The Dreamer
The final boss you will need to defeat to complete the game is The Dreamer (Dragon). This boss is located inside the Ward 17 where The Dreamer resides. When you approach the subject you will get pulled into the boss fight against the dragon. When you defeat The Dreamer you complete the game. This victory will earn you the Shouldn’t Have Done That achievement.
If you fought every boss on this list you will have completed Chronos Before the Ashes. Overall the bosses listed above are fairly simple and easy to beat. As this game was first released back in 2016 (before Remnant) you can see many of the design decisions here carried onto the next title.
