Monster Fatalis Joins the Fray and Brings New Weapons and Armor
The biggest and most important addition in the 5th title update is the monster called Fatalis. Fatalis is an Elder Dragon first introduced back in the 2004 Monster Hunter title. Thanks to the 5th update title Iceborne players now have the chance to fight this beast by way of a special assignment accessible after completing the story of Iceborne and the Alatreon investigation. This special Fatalis investigation takes players to the ruins of Castle Schrade where they will need to take down this menacing Elder Dragon using weapons like cannons, ballistae, and a Dragonator.

Arch-tempered Velkhana Also Joins the Fray (Oct. 16)
Alongside the inclusion of Fatalis there is a new Arch-tempered beast for players to face to earn y+ armor. The Arch-tempered monster for this new quest is Velkhana. To fight this Arch-tempered monster you will need to wait a little bit to complete the limited-time event quest when it is released on October 16th. Collecting material from the Arch-tempered Velkhana will allow you to craft the Velkhana y+ set.
Universal Studios Japan Collaboration Quest
A quest that had previously been region locked is now open to players worldwide thanks to the 5th title update. These new quests called USJ: Shine on Forever and USJ: Ballet of Frost are a collaboration between Universal Studios Japan and Capcom. Like previous quests of this nature you will unlock various weapons and armor from material gained during this quest:
Armor

All Layered Armor Sets are Finally Unlocked
New events and monsters aside the next huge update is that all of the Layered Armor Sets are finally unlocked. This means you can now create the ultimate fashion hunter to go with your unappealing visually build. To create any of the Layered Armor Sets you want you will need to visit the Smithy with materials in hand to craft the sets you want.
Additionally alongside the release of all Layered Armor there are two new Layered Armor sets to unlock: Buff Body y+ and the Kadachi Scarf. Both of these Layered Armor sets will be unlockable during the Fright Fest event starting in-game on October 16th.
