Everything in the Summer Twilight Event – Monster Hunter World

Monster Hunter World is currently holding another seasonal event called the Summer Twilight Fest. Like the last seasonal event (Spring Blossom) there are a number new things that have been added to Monster Hunter World. To keep track of everything that Capcom added, I’ve put together this guide of everything in the Summer Twilight Event. Note: The Summer Twilight event lasts from July 12 – July 26.

Login Bonus + Twilight Fireworks

When you login during the Summer Twilight Event, you will receive a couple of event goodies.

When you login during the Summer Twilight Event in Monster Hunter World you will receive a couple of goodies. The first goodie is the Summer Twilight Ticket and the second is the Twilight Fireworks. Both items are similar to their cousins from the Spring Blossom Event. The Summer Twilight Ticket can be turned into the Elder Melder for more Twilight Fireworks. Twilight Fireworks are a consumable item which can be launched during a mission for some added flair. Besides these event items, you will also receive an additional Lucky Voucher (2x) for logging in which is pretty nice.

Poogie and Handler Costumes

When you load up Astera for the first time after downloading the Summer Twilight update, you may notice that both your Poogie and the Handler look a bit different. This is because both have been given new outfits to celebrate the Summer Twilight Event. Your Poogie has on the Seaside Sausage, while the Handler is wearing the Sunshine Pareo.

Note: You need to head to the Gathering Hub to have the outfits appear. If you wish to change Poogie’s costume, simply interact with it and select the Change Clothes option. To change the Handler’s Outfit, talk with your Housekeeper and select the Change the Handler’s Outfit option.

Vendor Sales

During the Summer Twilight Event, you will find the vendors will sell items at a discount. This means you can stock up on things like the Large Barrel Bombs for cheap. Items for sale are denoted by the medal to the right of them on the buy screen (most items are on sale). You will also notice that vendors like the Botanical Research Center and the Elder Melder are also offering items for lower prices.

The Summer Twilight Palico set is called the Aloha Set.

Hunters aren’t the only creatures getting in on the summer action as your Palico also has a craftable event set called Aloha Set. The Aloha Set sees your Palico sporting a hawaiian shirt, straw hat, and Ukulele. To craft either the Low Rank or High Rank versions of this set you will need the material listed below:

Aloha Low Rank Recipe (Rarity 3)

  • Straw Hat: 1x Summer Twilight Ticket, 1x Earth Crystal
  • Aloha Shirt: 1x Summer Twilight Ticket, 1x Earth Crystal

All Past Events Are Available

Screenshot of events from Monster Hunter World

Like previous events, the Summer Twilight Event brings back a number of quests that had previously expired.

There have been a number of events which have occured since Monster Hunter World dropped back in January. Most of these events were on a short timer, meaning you probably missed a few. While the Summer Twilight Event runs, you will be able to access all previous Events that have occured in Monster Hunter World. This means you will be able to get the Aloy gear, Street Fighter gear, or whatever else you may have missed. Thanks Capcom!

Some Quests to Complete:

Every Hunter’s Dream (Wyvern Ignition Greatsword)

Code: Red (Devil May Cry Armor and Weapon)

A Rush of Blood (Mega Man Palico Set)

Lessons of the Wild (Horizon Zero Dawn Palico Set) – PS4 Only

USJ: Gold Star Treatment (Palico Set and Longsword)

Gathering Hub is Festive

The Ice Rathalos is a nice visual addition to the Canteen.

The last part of the Summer Twilight update I will point out is that the Gathering Hub has been decorated for the occasion. As you can see, all the NPCs and the area itself are way more festive than normal. There’s also a giant Ice Rathalos in the Canteen that is being carved, because why not? Besides these added visual flairs, there is a new Summer Twilight Platter which you can purchase from the Canteen.

I will continue to update this guide to everything in the Summer Twilight Event in the coming days so check back for updates.
