Farming Simulator 17 Gameplay Footage Released

Having experienced the joys of farming in Stardew Valley earlier this year, my need for more farming may soon be fulfilled thanks to Farming Simulator 17. Focus Home brings players an early look at the games farming cycle in the trailer dubbed “From Seed to Harvest”. One thing to notice is that you can now choose between being a male or female farmer, because crops don’t hate.

For those out of touch, Farming Simulator provides players with the opportunity to live the life of a farmer. Put more clearly. the Steam listing describes the game as:

Farming Simulator 17, invites you into the challenging world of a modern day farmer. Take on all the challenges of farming life, including animal husbandry, crops, sales, and woodcutting. You decide how you want to manage and grow your farm in a huge, open world!

What differentiates Farming Simulator from other more ‘toon’ like simulators is the games approach to realism. The new iteration seems to be carrying on this tradition as Farming Simulator 17 boasts an impressive collection of real life machinery including such brands as Challenger, Fendt, Valtra, and Massey Ferguson.

Farming Simulator 17 will also feature a multiplayer mode in which your friends will be able to visit you farm. On PC the mode will support 16 players while console will be 6. Multiplayer will also be mod friendly, so the community can go straight buck wild on this one.

Farming Simulator 17 is set to launch simultaneously across platforms (PC, Xbox One, Ps4) on October 25th. You can also pre-order now if that is something you want to do.
