Fortnite is currently blowing up the internet as players everywhere wait for the game to comeback from being black holed into oblivion with the new Fortnite Chapter 2 update. The leaked video above comes courtesy of Skin Tracker who initially posted it to their Twitter account before taking it down. Skin Tracker then received approval to upload the full video to YouTube which you can see above. As you can see from the video above there’s a ton of new content to unpack in this trailer.

First up there appears to be a ton of new locales for players to explore. There seems to be heavy emphasis on aquatics with a new jet ski type vehicle and beach zones. We also see gas stations, waterfalls, lighthouses, and a Power Plant of sorts.

Alongside the new locations there are a number of new skins and items to unlock (as to be expected). These skins and items include blue/red blob creatures, white/black robot-ninja looking skin, and various material gathering picks.

Rounding out the trailer we get a look at a number of new mechanics including swimming/diving, fishing, and carrying downed teammates fireman style. Alongside these gameplay mechanics it appears there are changes to progression. In the trailer players earn what appears to be Batlle Medals called the ‘survivor medal’, and another called the ‘scavenger medal’. These medals appear to be upgradeable.

Fortnite has been down for a while now and it seems like it is due to a ton of new content being added. When the game will go live remains to be seen, but I would expect it sometime soon.
