Discover 10 Named Locations

Image showing the Named Locations in Fortnite Chapter 2.

One the new island you will find a number of new named map locations. In total there are 13 Named Locations on the new Fortnite Chapter 2 island. These named locations are spread across the island and use a similar naming style (ie same letter starting both words). The complete list of all named map locations can be found below:

  • Craggy Cliffs.
  • Steamy Stacks.
  • Pleasant Park.
  • Sweaty Sands.
  • Salty Springs.
  • Frenzy Farm.
  • Dirty Dock.
  • Holly Hedges.
  • Weeping Woods.
  • Lazy Lake.
  • Retail Row.
  • Slurpy Swamp.
  • Misty Meadow.

To discover a location simply land in it, run through it, or hover over top of it for the name to pop up. Once this is done the mist on the map will clear and the location will be discovered.

Three Eliminations at Lazy Lake or Misty Meadows

This objective is fairly straightforward. You need to get three eliminations in the named area of Lazy Lake or Misty Meadows. This objective can be completed over multiple games and over a mixture of the two areas. Since this is a relatively new objective players are attempting to complete it now which means ample amounts of targets at each location.

Discover 10 Landmarks

Landmarks differ from Named Locations since they are not marked on your map. Like the Named Locations these locations are discovered by having their name appear on the screen. There are a number of landmarks to discover. I’ve listed a bunch of them below. Use the map above to find them.

  • Lockie’s Lighthouse
  • Crash Site
  • Unremarkable Shack
  • Risky Reels
  • E.G.O. Science Station
  • E.G.O Staging Post
  • Hilltop House
  • Homely Hills
  • Coral Cove
  • Eye Land
  • Lake Canoe
  • Fort Crumpet
  • Weather Station
  • Shipwreck Cove
  • Base Camp Hotel
  • Pizza Pete’s Food Truck
  • Mount F8
  • Base Camp Foxtrot
  • Camp Cod
  • Weather Station
  • Base Camp Golf
  • Shipwreck Cove
  • Base Camp Hotel

Discover 10 of the locations listed above to complete this objective.

Ride a Motorboat in Three Different Matches

Motorboats are a new addition to Fortnite thanks to the new update. As the name suggests these vehicles allow players to cruise around on the water. You will typically find these vehicles near bodies of water. One guaranteed spawn is just east of the Lockie’s Lighthouse landmark next to the boathouse there. You will need to jump into three boats during three different matches to complete this objective.

Deal 500 Damage with Assault Rifles to Opponents

Pretty simple objective here. Find an Assault Rifle and use it on opponents to deal 500 damage. This damage can be dealt across matches so don’t worry if you don’t reach the mark in one match. If you are having trouble jump into a Team Rumble.

Search Seven Chests at Sweaty Sands or Retail Row

Head to the either location above and search for chests. Open seven chests to complete this objective. If you want to complete this quickly, jump into Team Rumble since chests have higher spawn rates in this mode.

Five Eliminations in Different Matches

Simply score an elimination in five matches. If you struggle doing this in solo, jump into Team Rumble to make things a bit easier on yourself.

Catch One Weapon Using a Fishing Rod

A new mechanic in Fortnite Chapter 2 is fishing. Fishing can be done using Fishing Rods found throughout the island. Typically you will find Fishing Rods near water in barrels. You can also find Fishing Rods in chests or simply lying out in the open. Once you have a Fishing Rod find a secluded body of water and fish until you pull up a weapon.

Deal Damage with SMGs, Shotguns, and Pistols in a Single Match

This objective is a bit more complicated to complete. You need to deal damage using three different weapon types in a single match. The biggest problem with this is getting lucky with weapon spawns. I recommend doing this in Team Rumble since you can respawn.

Carry a Knocked Player 10m

Everything up to this point can be done solo. Unfortunately to complete this objective you will need to jump into a duo or squad to complete. Like fishing the ability to carry pick up and carry knocked player is a new addition in Fortnite Chapter 2. Keep in mind you can carry both friendlies and enemies, so once you see a knocked player run over to them, pick them up, and walk 10m with them.

This concludes our New World mission guide. The next set of objectives will be released on October 24th. Check back on HTR to learn how to complete those new set of objectives.
