Gem-Bird Puzzle Guide – Stardew Valley

On Ginger Island in Stardew Valley there are a number of puzzles for players to complete. One of these puzzles can be found in the jungle area. This puzzle features four birds and corresponding statues. To complete this puzzle is a bit convoluted. To make your life easier I’ve put together the Gem-Bird Puzzle Ginger Island guide below. Use it to make solving the puzzle a non-issue.

Where to Find the Bird Puzzle on Ginger Island

The bird puzzle can be found on the eastside of the island in the area where Leo’s treehouse is located. Head to the right in the trees to reach a second area that has the puzzle in it. In this area you will find four pedestals and a statue. Read the statue to learn the puzzle.

Statue Text: ” When dark clouds cry, begin your quest. To seek the fabled gem-birds four. Each day, one north, south, east, or west. Arrange their gifts upon my door.

How to Solve the Bird Puzzle on Ginger Island

While the wording of this puzzle is a bit confusing the actual puzzle itself is pretty simple. Every time it rains on Ginger Island a bird appears in either the north, south, east, or west sections of the island. Each bird will be the color of a gem and will drop that specific gem. When you encounter one of these birds jot down its location and the gem it dropped as seen in the example below (your game will be different as the birds are randomized).

• North: Aquamarine.

• West: Ruby.

• South: Emerald.

• East: Topaz.

Once you have all four gems place them in the corresponding pedestals depending on the location you found them. If done correctly you will receive 5 Golden Walnuts for your efforts. That’s all there is to completing this puzzle. Unfortuntaley you can only complete this puzzle once.
