Graphics Resolution of Breath of the Wild

IGN recently released a interview with Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma discussing the performance of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Nintendo Switch, and the revelations are interesting. Both the WiiU and Nintendo Switch versions will play similar, but will be different in terms of how the game looks and performs. These differences between consoles are to be expected; however, what is interesting is what has been reported the graphics resolution of Breath of the Wild Breath. IGN has reported that the game will run at 900p and 30fps in the dock and at 720p while portable.  This quality matches other reports regarding the Nintendo Switch’s capability as a graphics producing machine.

Regardless of the reported graphics output, Breath of the Wild looks really good. The graphic style comes off as ageless, similar in nature to Windwaker. More footage of the game has been released and it appears to run smoothly in both a docked and handheld state. As long as Nintendo can maintain a smooth 30 FPS, players will still receive a fun and enjoyable experience. If they can’t, this is where frame drops become more noticeable. For a look at Breath of the Wild being played handheld, check the video below.

What do you think about the graphics resolution of Breath of the Wild? Love it? Hate it? Let me know in the Pit below.
