GTA Online: Cayo Perico Treasure Chest Locations Guide
Rockstar has added additional money-making opportunities to the Cayo Perico heist in GTA Online by adding findable treasure during intel missions. These findable treasure chests rotate daily with one being located on land and another being located in the water. When you collect one of these treasure chests you receive $15k for your efforts. Cayo Perico Treasure Chest Locations Map
The map above made by Reddit User ClassiqueGTA is an incredible resource for players to use when scoping out the island. This map features the locations and possible locations of everything you want for your intel mission. The daily treasure is marked on the map by yellow diamonds. It has a random chance of spawning at any two of the locations above (1x on land & 1x in the sea). Once you collect both the land and sea treasure you need to wait 24 hours in real time before you can collect more treasure. How to Collect Treasure on Cayo Perico
To collect the daily treasure on Cayo Perico make your way to your submarine and start a Gathering Intel mission from the planning screen to head to the island. Once you are on the island you can approach the treasure chests from a few ways. The spoilery way is to use daily videos from someone like Gtamen. These daily uploads show you exactly where to go to get the treasure for the day. This approach is quick and easy.
The second approach is for players that actually want to search for the treasure. To do this approach I would recommend at least having the map above open on a second monitor/device. You will then simply need to visit each location the island to see if treasure has spawned at it. Simple as that.
When you find a treasure chest that has spawned approach it and interact with it to trigger a short cutscene. After the cutscene is complete you will receive $15k. You will also receive progress towards the Treasure Hunter award which is based on collecting treasure on the island. Once you’ve collected both treasures you will need to wait 24 hours in real time for the new spawns to appear.
