Blindness Shard Challenge

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Guide and Walkthrough

This pillar leads to the Blindness Shard Challenge.

Like the Labyrinth Challenge, the Blindness Shard Challenge is also basically just walking. The twist here as the name suggests is that you are ‘blind’ in the sense that it is very hard to see. This means you need to rely on controller rumbles and audio cues for directions.

Follow the breeze.

When you start this challenge, you will be in a room that’s pitch black. In this room, Dillion basically tells you to follow the breeze of the wind. For controller players, this means the controller will rumble when facing the direction you need to go.

Follow the riverbed. It glows a faint silver

You’ll walk along this way for a while until you reach a riverbed, here you will be told to follow it. The riverbed gives off a faint silver goal and can be followed by sight alone.

Inside this house in an evil spirit, or something.

At the end of the riverbed is an old house. Inside the house is a ‘creature’. As it is dark in the house, the creature can’t see you, but you can’t see it. I stuck to the outer edges of the house walls to make my way past just fine.

See that creature in the distance?

Once outside the house, you will see campfires in the distance as well as strange creatures walking across your path. Treat this portion like a Nordic Frogger and you’ll survive.

The last area is inside a set of ruins. Here you will need to walk in the dark across a balance beam; enter a well; and walk past a ton of creatures. Inside the bottom of the well, all you need to do is walk towards Dillion’s light. Make it to Dillion and the challenge ends.
