This Holiday Season Both Genders Get Terrible Movies

It’s Christmas in Jul…June and the gift that we get is two terrible trailers selling movies with basically the exact same premise. Apparently reality is now in some sort of Freaky Friday-esque body switch comedy, as the once rough and tumble male gender is now responsible and organized (apparently), and the stereotypically responsible and nurturing female gender is now getting drunk in a mall food court, and giving KRiS Kringle a lap dance. One thing remains the same for both genders though (apparently), parents cramp their styles. What are the odds that we would get two Christmas related sequels featuring the idea that the character’s from the first films have their parents show up for the Holidays? Actually, probably pretty good odds, because the studios have exactly zero good/original ideas these days.

We are certainly in a comedy apocalypse right now, as the studio fat cats seems content at just churning out these cheaply produced comedies that feature zero originality or fun. I am not sure exactly what I am supposed to take from either of these trailers. I guess if the whole dumb male or crazy female thing really hits your funny bone, than one of these will appeal to you, but for me both trailers just had me sitting stone faced, and wishing for death.

After watching both of these trailers, I am sure that you’ll agree with me that I hope the world ends before this year’s holiday season…
