How to Evolve Sinistea into Polteageist in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield

In Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield there are a number of interesting Pokemon with strange evolutions. One of these interesting Pokemon is Sinistea, a Ghost-type Pokemon that resides in a teacup. This Pokemon can be evolved by using a specific item. Continue reading to learn how to evolve Sinistea into Polteageist.

Where to Catch Sinistea?

To start we need to catch a Sinsitea. Sinistea can be found in the Gilmwood Triangle which is located between Stow-on-Side and Ballonlea. Sinistea is a bit unique as you do not see it in the overworld like other Pokemon. Instead you want to look for exclamation marks to appear. Walk into these exclamation marks to trigger a possible Surprise Encounter with Sinistea (note you may need to walk around a bit to find). Catch Sinistea to advance to the next portion of this guide.

Where to Find the Cracked Pot?

Evolving Sinistea involve giving it a specific item. In this case the item we need to give is called the Cracked Pot. This item can be found in Stow-on-Side. To find the Cracked Pot head to the stairs leading up to the arena. At the base of the stairs look to the right and you will see a ladder. Go up the ladder to the rooftop. Head to the right and you will find the Cracked Pot item.

Use Cracked Pot on Sinistea

Once you have the Cracked Pot item open your Bag and select it. Choose to use the Cracked Pot on your Sinistea to have it evolve into Polteageist. That’s it. You now have a Polteageist in your possession. Polteagist is the number 336 Pokemon in the Galar Pokedex.
