How to Get the Ballistazooka in Mortal Shell

There is one ranged weapon in Mortal Shell called the Ballistazooka. This weapon fires the Large Bolt ammunition you will find/can buy in the game. If you want to get the Ballistazooka for your arsenal but don’t know how you’ve come to the right place. Check out our how to get the Ballistazooka in Mortal Shell guide below.

Purchase Tools From Vlas

To repair the Ballistazooka in Mortal Shell you need to purchase a key item called Tools from the merchant in the Fallgrim Tower named Vlas. If you don’t know how to get to Vlas you need to go on the outside of the tower then head up the stairs next to the bell. On a little side column Vlas has his shop setup (pet the cat while you are here). The Tools cost 8,000 Tar to purchase. So you will need to either farm for the amount or buy it later in the game when you are more flush with currency.

Repair Ballistazooka at Workbench

Once you have the Tools item head to the Workbench in the Fallgrim Tower and select the Repair Ballistazooka option. Hold the upgrade button until the circle completes. Upon completion you will receive the Ballistazooka ranged weapon. This weapon shoots the Large Bolt ammunition you can find in the world or buy off of Vlas.

Is the Ballistazooka Worth It?

No… Seriously, the only ranged weapon in Mortal Shell sucks for the most part. It is hard to aim, you have to remain stationary, and it fires a single bolt at a time before needing to be reloaded. After each shot there is a long reload animation you have to watch. This long reload time leaves you wide open to attacks. The only redeeming factor of this weapon is that it looks good on you back while you run around.

I would only recommend getting the Ballistazooka if you want to meme run or have a ton of Tar to burn. The use case is so low for this weapon it just doesn’t make sense to repair it for 8k Tar. Stay away from this weapon and invest Tar in your shells instead.
