How to the Skippy Gun in Cyberpunk 2077

There are a number of weapons for players to find in Cyberpunk 2077. Many of these weapons are common to the world while others are unique. These unique weapons are hard to find and often require completing certain requirements to get them. One of these unique weapons is called Skippy. Skippy is a smart gun that talks to players. To learn how to get the Skippy gun in Cyberpunk 2077 consult our guide below.

Where to Find the Skippy Gun

To start the quest to get Skippy you need to first find the weapon. To find Skippy head to the south end of Vista Del Rey and enter the alleyway there. When you enter the alley you will find Skippy in a weapon case next to a body. Pickup Skippy to trigger your interaction with it.

Which Skippy Mode to Choose

When you pickup Skippy for the first time it will speak to you. Ask it questions or advance the quest by selecting the gold options. Once you advance the conversation enough you will learn about two of Skippy’s modes:

  • Stone Cold Killer: Skippy is lethal.
  • Puppy-Loving Pacifist: Skippy is non-lethal.

Once you learn about both of the Skippy modes you will need to select which one you want the gun to be in. This selection is somewhat counter intuitive. Skippy will become the opposite of what you choose. So if you want a killing gun pick Puppy-Loving Pacifist and if you want a non-lethal gun pick Stone Cold Killer.

After the selection is made Skippy will be added to your inventory. Kill 50 enemies with Skippy to have it permanently switch to the opposite mode you chose. The Skippy Smart Pistol features homing bullets along with electrical damage. This gun scales to the user’s level. Alongside these stats the gun can be somewhat unpredictable at times, with it firing randomly.

is it possible to get “Skippy” BEFORE The Heist on arosoka tower? Or somehow use the mission itself to smuggle yourself past the progression barrier?
