How to Unlock Fast Travelling in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s sprawling world which can often feel overwhelming to navigate. At times you may feel like things are far away, and fast travel doesn’t seem available. While this is true for some things, there is a way to fast travel to locations after you’ve visited them for the first time. To help you, I’m going to show you how to unlock fast travelling in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

Available Fast Travel Point – The Adrestia (Your Ship)

Fast Travel to The Adrestia in Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Once you have The Adrestia unlocked, you can use it as a mobile fast travel point.

One point you can always fast travel to is your ship The Adrestia. This ship is unlocked after you complete the story mission The Big Break. Once you have The Adrestia unlocked, you are able to fast travel back to it by hovering over the golden ship icon on the map. Having the ability to always fast travel back to The Adrestia is nice as it makes stopping to explore something easier then if you had to make your way back to the ship every time.

Unlocking Fast Travel Points Through Synchronization

While having a mobile Fast Travel point in The Adrestia is nice, sometimes you need to fast travel to a city (like to see Oikos for example). However, you may have noticed when you hover over a city/area of interest, the ability to fast travel to it is greyed out. To unlock fast travel to these points you need to complete what are called Synchronization Locations. These points appear on your map as grey birds. Once at a Synchronize Location you are able to send up Ikaro to scout the area. Once this is done, you will unlock this point as a Fast Travel point. You will know you’ve unlocked the Fast Travel point as the grey bird will turn green on your map.

Note: Completing Synchronize Locations is a good way to level up different attributes of Ikaro.

For some reason it will not let me fast travel to the green eagles! I’m not in the middle of a battle I’m not fighting. I’m not in a red area. I’ve saved and turned off the game. Omg help!!!!
