How to Unlock the Alex 14 Heart Event in Stardew Valley
In the new 1.4 update of Stardew Valley ConcernedApe added new Heart Events to unlock with your spouses. These Heart Events take place at 14 Hearts. To help you unlock each new Heart Event I am writing a guide for each spouse. The guide below shows you how to unlock the Alex 14 Heart Event in Stardew Valley.
How to Reach 14-Hearts with Alex?
To unlock the new event you first need to reach 14 hearts with Alex. You should already be around 10 since you’ve married him. To quickly raise the hearts with Alex you will want to give him the any of the following favorite items until you reach 14 Hearts:
- Complete Breakfast.
- Salmon Dinner.
Once you’ve reached 14 Hearts with Alex you need to trigger the next portion of the Heart Event. To do this leave your house any day but Sunday after 6:00-8:20 AM (note you need to reach Year 2+ to have Kent in town to trigger this).
Alex Needs 5,000G For Secret Plan
Upon exiting the house you will trigger a cutscene. Alex will come out of the house and will ask you for some money. He needs 5,000G to complete a secret project. Give him the money and he will tell you it will be ready on Sunday. Pass the time until Sunday then head into the Saloon.
Enter the Saloon to Find a Gridball Watching Party
Make your way to the Stardrop Saloon for noon. Enter the Saloon to trigger a cutscene. In this cutscene Alex, Shane, Gus, Kent, and George in the back room watching Gridball. Alex has taken the money and developed an area for the guys to watch Gridball on Sundays. This becomes a Sunday tradition.
After you’ve watched the cutscene the Alex 14-Heart Event will come to an end. This event highlights the athletic side of Alex he never fully realized. What did you think of the Alex 14-Heart Event? Let me know in the comments below.
