To unlock this new tool you need to access the Quarry mine. This new mine is located in the Quarry area of Stardew Valley. Inside the Quarry look for a mine entrance. Go inside the mine to start exploring it.

Reach Statue Holding Golden Scythe in Quarry Mine

The Quarry Mine is a single floor mine you need to complete to reach a statue at the end that is holding the Golden Scythe. This mine is full of new enemies to face. To complete the mine I recommend brining a number of health items with you so you can easily reach the end. You will also want to bring a good sword to deal damage.

Once you reach the end of the mine you will encounter a statue that is holding the Golden Scythe. To get the Golden Scythe for yourself make sure your inventory has space then interact with the statue. You will receive the Golden Scythe.

What Does the Golden Scythe Do?

Description: “it’s more powerful than the normal scythe.”

The Scythe was the only tool in Stardew Valley that lacked any real upgrades. This meant your other tools gained in effeciency while the scythe stayed the same. With the Golden Sycthe you harvest more hay than you would from the normal Scythe. This makes collecting hay much quicker.

That’s all you need to know about how to unlock the Golden Scythe in Stardew Valley. Given the utility of this tool, I highly recommend you unlock it sooner rather than later. Are you happy there’s finally a better Scythe? Let me know in the comments below.
