Kunai: How to Get the Map Chip
When you start out in Kunai you will be missing the map. This is due to the fact you are lacking a Map Chip. To get the map you need to find Dave, a chip maker in the Disconnected Forest. To help you reach Dave check out our how to get the Map Chip guide below.
Where is Dave and the Map Chip?
Dave is the NPC you need to find in order to get the Map Chip in Kunai. Dave can be found in the area called the Disconnected Forest which is to the west of the Quantum Forest. Unlike other areas in the game, the Disconnected Forest plays out a bit differently as you will be teleported from area to area when you leave a room.
In order to reach Dave go through the following exits starting form the starting chest room.
- Right.
- Right.
- Down.
- Left.
- Right.
- Right.
- Down.
- Up.
- Right.
- Left.
Follow the directions above to reach Dave. When you find Dave speak with him to receive the Map Chip. With this chip installed you will gain access to the map. The map is very useful in helping to avoid getting lost. Consult it often to find things like save points.
Once you have the Map Chip simply exit to the right of Dave to return to the Quantum Forest. You can explore more of the Disconnected Forest whenever you so desire. Note this area is good for farming coins if you are so inclined as there are a number of enemies that continually respawn.
