Mechanical Upgrades

Mechanical upgrades to the Nomad improve mechanical elements of the Nomad. These upgrades can be bought or found and apply immediately to the Nomad. Be on the lookout for vendors as well as research which allows you to upgrade the Nomad.

Agility Mode – This mod allows you to turn off traction assist. If you are a skilled driver, you will want this.

Defensive Fortification – Increases both the basic defense and shield strength by 25%.

Emergency Shield Discharge – when the Nomad’s shields are low it will launch a shockwave sends nearby enemies flying.

Improved Suspension – increases the Nomad’s top speed in normal driving mode.

Vertical Thrust Upgrade – provides a 40% increase to the Nomad’s jump jets.
