Mass Effect Andromeda Romance Guide
Vetra (Both)
Turian, Vetra, joins your crew when you get the Tempest. Vetra acts as a sort of logistical officer on the ship and appears to have influence across the galaxy. Crewmember Vetra can be romanced by both Male and Female Ryder which is a definite plus.
1. Speak to Vetra in the Armory of the Tempest when you first board the ship. Choose the “You’re intense. I like it” conversation option.
2. Speak to Vetra in the Armory and choose the ” Anyone special in your life” option.
3. Complete quest “A trail of hope” and then speak with Vetra on the Tempest. Choose the “You’re too tough for that” conversation option.
4. Interrogate Vehn in the “Hunting the Archon” quest and then speak to Vetra. This will unlock her loyalty mission.
5. Complete Vetra’s loyalty mission and speak to her aboard the Tempest. Select the ” I’m here for you both” option.
6. Complete “Huntin the Archon” then talk to Vetra and choose the ” I’m dreaming of someone” option.
7. After completing “The Journey to Meridian” quest, talk to Vetra. This will trigger an event.
8. Talk to Vetra once you are ‘exclusive’ to unlock the scene below.
Vetra Romance (YT: Gamer’s Little Playground)
Jaal (Female Ryder)
The only new alien of the bunch is Jaal. Jaal is from the Andromedan species known as the Angara. Meeting Jaal occurs along the main storyline and he will only romance Female Ryder. Flirting with Jaal becomes ‘couple” which replaces the normal heart shaped indicator you would normally see.
1. After Jaal has joined your party, speak with him in the Tech Lab on the Tempest. Reply with the “One more thing” conversation option.
2. Talk to Jaal on the Tempest and choose the conversation option “Interested?”
3. After the Akksul conversation on Vicdon, speak to Jaal on the Tempest. This triggers his loyalty mission
4. Visit Kadara then talk to Jaal and choose the “I think you’re special” option.
5. Look out for Jaal’s email, complete Jaal’s loyalty mission, and complete “Hunting the Archon”. Take Jaal in your active party and head to Mom’s house on Havarl. Here you will be able to commit.
6. While completing ” The Journey to Meridian”, speak to Jaal on the Tempest. Choose the “I adore you option”. DO THIS BEFORE BEATING THE GAME
7. Talk to Jaal after committing to him and this will trigger the scene below.
Jaal Romance (YT: PwnPow)
Avela Kjar (Male Ryder)
Obviously we can’t have only FemRyder getting it on with the Angarian, so for Male Ryders there’s Avela Kjar. Avel Kjar is an Angarian Historian on Aya. She basically sends you out to collect items in exchange for flirting (make sure you flirt everytime) and then eventually making out. There’s not much of an arch here or any steamy sex scenes, but know that you need to complete both Recovering the Past and Forgotten History to advance the romance. Before the final mission, she will message you to get kind of freaky.
Avela Kjar Romance (YT: sultry donkey)
Suvi (Female Ryder)
Suvi is the Science Officer on the Tempest. She sits to the left of the galaxy map and can be romanced as long as you are Female Ryder. Like Avela Kjar, this romance is a bit shallower than others in the game. In order to romance Suvi, simply flirt whenever the opportunity arises. Keep an eye on your email and eventually the romance will blossom into a full blown relationship.

Reyes Vidal (Both)
Reyes Vidal is the easiest relationship option to miss in a Mass Effect Andromeda playthrough. This is largely due to the fact that he just kind of shows up when you are on Kadara. In order to romance Reyes Vidal, you need to romance him across the long quest that takes place on Kadara. To do this, simply flirt with him during, Murder in Kadara Port, Divided Loyalties, Precious Cargo and Night Out. Once you meet with Sloane this brings the questline to a close. Depending on what choices you made will determine whether Vidal sticks with you or not.

Keri
Keri is a documentary filmmaker on the Nexus who requests interviews from you as you progress in the main storyline. This relationship is a simple fling and is pretty straightforward. Everytime Keri interviews you, simply flirt. Keri will get thrown in jail at some point, so be nice and visit her. Aside from that this relationship is fairly simple.
