Military Junkyard – Carrion Guide and Walkthrough
The first real level you will play in Carrion is the Military Junkyard. Inside this level you will find the first ability needed to advance your ability to access new areas in the game. After you’ve completed this level you will return to the Frontier in a new section. To help you complete this level use our Military Junkyard Carrion guide below.
Military Junkyard Guide
From the pipe you enter the level through head to the right into the next room. Use your tentacle to push the switch there to open the door leading down. Head down then move the cages out of the way and continue to the right through the pipe there into the next room.
This next room has the exit inside it. In order to leave this level you need to create three hives around the level. These hives will open the exit. To reach the first hive head to the left and pull the switch there to open the door. Head down the hallway to reach a new room on your left.
Hive 1
Inside this room there is an enemy walking around. This enemy has a gun and will shoot you if you appear in their line of sight. Wait for their back to be turned to you then enter the room and kill them then continue left into the next room to reach the first Military Junkyard Hive. Interact with the hive to spread which makes a path to the left into the next room.
Hive 2
Defeat the enemy in the next room and head down the pipe going to the room below. Take out both enemies in this room and use the pipe in the bottom right corner that has the large cage on it. Take out the two enemies here then head to the bottom right corner of the room to reach the second hive.
Ability: Arachnoptysis
The only direction from the second hive we can head is to the left. Head into the next room to find a Containment Unit that holds the ability Arachnoptysis. Simply grab the container and shack it with your tentacle. Once cracked squeeze into it to get the ability. With this ability you can shoot a cobweb that allows you to trap victims or interact with objects. Head left and go up so you are in the upper portion of the ability room. Shoot your cobweb to reach the switch on the right. This opens the locked door allowing you to reach the pipe in the ceiling above. Go through the pipe to return to the large room above.
In the large room go to the ceiling to find a path leading to above the switch on the right. Shoot your cobweb down at the switch to activate it. This opens the door leading to the right. Go back down and head through this door to reach a new room.
Hive 3
The next room you enter has four enemies in it. Take out these enemies and ignore the hive below you for now since you can’t reach it. Instead head to the right so you enter a room with an elevator. Go right past the elevator into the next room which has an enemy and a switch in it. Defeat the enemy and use the switch to open two doors: one leading back to the level exit and the door to the third hive. Head back to the room with the third hive and interact with it to open the level exit.
Once all three hives are active return to the room with the elevator and head up the elevator shaft by moving the crate blocking your path. Go up the shaft to return to the exit. Since it is now open we can go through the exit to return to a new section of the Frontier.
How to Reach the Hazardous Waste Landfill
There is a section of the Military Junkyard that is inaccessible when you first explore the level. This section is located beneath the third hive. To access this location and the level it contains you need to complete the Uranium Mines so you get the ability to destroy wood. Once you have this ability head back to this level and go down the elevator shaft to the third hive. Head to the left in the hive room and go down the ladders to the room below. Smash the wood in your path in this room to reach the Hazardous Waste Landfill.
