Mystery Gift Codes – Pokemon Sun and Moon

With Pokemon Ultra Moon & Ultra Sun coming soon, I’ve recently dusted off my copy of Pokemon Moon. Since I beat the game, I’ve been doing a few minor things and stumbled across a collection of Mystery Gifts that have been given out by Nintendo. The Mystery Gift Codes below will unlock Mega Stones for a bunch of Pokemon. Enjoy!

How to Unlock

Log in to your game. Head to Mystery Gift on the main menu:

1. Select Receive Gift. Select Get with Code/Password, then Yes, and then Yes again to connect to the Internet.
2. Enter the code 
3. Watch as you receive Mega Stones!
4. Speak to the deliveryman in any Pokémon Center to pick up your Mega Stones.
5. Be sure to save your game!

What are Mega Stones?

Mega Stones when held by a Pokemon trigger the Mega Evolution of  that Pokemon. Mega Evolution only lasts during the battle, but is a good way of increasing your pokemon’s powers in the fight. Giving Gallade a Mega Stone allows it to Mega Evolve during battle into Galladite for example. Mega Evolutions can swing the tide of battle and are a nice ace in the hole to use when needed.

Gift: Gardevoirite, Galladite, Lopunnite, and Diancite.

Blaziken, Swampert, Sceptile, Camerupt, and Banite Mega Stones

Code: MATSUBUSA

Gift: Sceptilite, Blazikenite, Swamperite, Cameruptite, and Banettite.

Pidgeot, Steelix, Heracross, and Houndroom Mega Stones

Code: AZUL

Gift: Pidgeotite, Steelixite, Heracrossit, and Houndoomite.

Mawile, Beedrill, Audino, Medicham Mega Stones

Code: INTIMIDATE

Gift: Mawlite, Beedrillite, Audinite, and Medichamite.

Mewtwo Mega Stones

Code: M2DESCENT

Gift: Mewtwonite X + Mewtwonite Y

If you’ve transferred Mewtwo from a previous title, Pokemon.com has a treat for you. With the Mewtwo Mega Stones, you will be able to evolve Mewtwo into Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y (depending on copy of game).

Tyranitar, Abomasnow, Manectric, and Aggron Mega Stones

Code: SABLEVOLANT

Gift: Tyranitarite, Abomasite, Manectite, and Aggronite.

Like Mewtwo, these Pokemon are not available in Pokemon Sun and Moon, but can be transferred using the Pokemon Bank. If you have access to these Pokemon, using this code will grant you access to the Mega Stones for these Pokemon. Enjoy!
