NBA 2K18 Handshakes Trailer Features a Ton of NBA Stars

NBA 2K18 is about a week away from release and 2K has rolled out a new live action trailer featuring a ton of NBA stars. The trailer shows off the new Neighborhood feature, which allows for a more interactive approach to MyPLAYER customization. Check out the NBA 2K18 Handshakes trailer below.

There are a ton of NBA faces that make an appearance in this new trailer for NBA 2K18. While I won’t list them all, I will say I enjoyed seeing DeMar DeRozan making an appearance (go Raps). Besides the real life portions of the trailer, we got to see a bit more about the Neighborhood mode that is coming to NBA 2K18. 2K described the Neighborhood as:

The Neighborhood is unlike anything ever seen in NBA 2K or any other sports career mode before. MyPLAYERs live in a neighborhood environment with several locations in the city blocks to visit, flush with other MyPLAYERS and characters with whom to interact. Experiences and ratings revolve around player actions, whether it’s running into Kyrie Irving while getting a shave at the barbershop, competing on the courts in The Playground, getting inked at the tattoo parlor, listening to the latest beats or showing off the latest gear to friends while strolling the block. A user’s experience is entirely shaped by how they compete, allowing them to reap the rewards of playing NBA 2K18 the way they enjoy it most.

The Neighborhood appears to act as a sort of hub spot for MyPLAYERS to interact with one another, or purchase new gear for their player. I am intrigued to see how this shakes out, because the previous, MyPLAYER warehouses were pretty bland.

If you want to try out NBA 2K18 a little bit early, the Prelude demo is currently available (on Xbox/PS), which allows you to play through a bit of the opening. If you pre-order the game, you can begin playing on September 15, instead of waiting until the September 19th official release date.
