Nintendo Spotlight E3 2017 – Ends With a Bang
It’s been a long road getting to the last of the E3 2017 conferences. Being the final conference, Nintendo had a substantial weight on their shoulders to deliver som much needed hype. Did they succeed in their endeavor? I can safely say Nintendo’s Spotlight was pretty good. Check out all the Nintendo Spotlight E3 2017 game announcements below.
Xenoblade 2: Chronicles
The first game shown off by Nintendo was Xenoblade 2: Chronicles. Xenoblade 2: Chronicles. The game looks pretty interesting and appears to have various open world elements.
Kirby
Everyone’s favorite blower and sucker is coming to Nintendo. Kirby has been announced by Nintendo. While not much was shown in the teaser, players can expect to see classic Kirby action the series is known for.
Yoshi
Like Kirby, Yoshi also got some love at the Nintendo Spotlight. Not a ton is shown off in the footage, but we do know the new Yoshi will be coming to the Nintendo Switch and that’s all that matters.
Metroid Prime 4
Probably one of the bigger surprises from the Nintendo announcement was Metroid Prime 4. While not much was shown besides a title screen, fans of the series should at least be excited that a game is coming. It’s been a long time coming for Metroid fans.
Fire Emblem Warriors
Fans of Fire Emblem got a treat, as Nintendo announced the new Warriors. Peeps the trailer to see all your favorite Fire Emblem characters in action.
The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Expansion Packs
The Master Trials and the Champion’s Ballad are both expansion/DLC packs coming to The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. Total price for the DLC Expansion Pass is $19.99 USD. Alongside the announcement of both DLC, was the announcement of new Legend of Zelda Amiibos.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
This Ubisoft and Nintendo crossover got some more love during the Nintendo Spotlight. We got an announcement date of August 29th, so that’s pretty exciting if you are looking forward to this Mario Xcom like.
Rocket League is Coming to Nintendo Switch
Everyone’s favorite Car based soccer game is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Psyonix announced that there would be new Mario hats, as well as new cars coming to the Switch platform. More information will be given in the coming months.
Mario Odyssey Gets More Game Footage
MARIO RIDING A T-REX. That’s how footage for Mario Odyssey started out. Mario Odyssey looks fun and quirky, just what you would expect from a new Nintendo Mario. There appears to be some type of hat mechanic which allows you to take control of things around you. This includes people, enemies, and tanks.
That’s all from Nintendo and E3 in general. While I think E3 is pretty much on its way out in terms of relevance, I am intrigued to see where the industry heads next.
