Nioh 2: How to Exit Missions
In Nioh 2 you playthrough various missions and sub-missions to collect loot and level up. These missions are the general gameplay loop, but have an interesting mechanic related to exiting them midway. If you’ve tried to quit out of a mission you may be wondering how exactly you do it. Since there’s no option on the settings menu or at the Shrines it can be a tad bit confusing. To help you with this problem I’ve thrown together this quick how to exit missions in Nioh 2 guide.
How Do You Exit Levels in Nioh 2?
When you start a mission or sub-mission in Nioh 2 you are stuck in that mission until you either complete it or you quit out. In order to quit out you need to use an item called the Divine Branch Fragment. This Usable Item can be found in your inventory. The Divine Branch Fragment has the following item description:
“A splinter of a sacred tree used as a holy vessel in religious rituals. Using this item consumes all of you Amrita, but allows you to quit a mission and return to the starting point. (In certain missions and the tutorial, using it will not cost you Amrita.)”
So when you use the Divine Branch Fragment you typically lose all of your Amrita. This means you should be aware of this penalty before using this item. Sometimes it may be better to simply complete the level instead of quitting.
