Okja…I Barely Even Know Ya.

Here is trailer numero two for Bong Joon Ho’s new flick, and it is certainly a step down from the first trailer. This is just one of those what-critics-are-saying trailers, but tonally the trailer is also taking a more dramatic approach than the initial one. Obviously I am still psyched for the film, and I’m even more psyched that it has a release date of June 28th (for some reason every time Netflix releases a trailer, I just assume that we wont see whatever is being advertised for a year or more).

I am certainly very intrigued by what the response to the film will be by audiences at large, and we can only hope that the response is better than “a sensational Tilda Swinton”. That quote doesn’t even make any sense. I can understand someone being like “a sensational cast” or “sensational cinematography” or even “sensational use of a film’s budget to just take all your friends on vacation with you”, but referring to an actor as “a sensational” reads very strange. It’s like, whose running the show over at The New York Times anyway?

In summation, reminder that Okja is out June 28th and not a year or more from now.
