PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Sets Two New Milestones
It seems that every week, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is setting new milestones in terms of the games success. This week is no different, as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has surpassed not one, but two huge milestones.

In less than six months, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has sold a mind blowing 10+ million copies. Having debuted on Steam back in march, the Battle Royale inspired multiplayer game was an immediate hit with gamers everywhere. With new updates being churned out regularly, it appears PlayerUnknown’s Battleground won’t be slowing down anytime soon.

Selling a boat load of copies is an impressive feat in its own right, but having a million players playing your game at the same time, elevates you into gaming royalty. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds experienced such an ascension today, becoming the most played game on steam with around 1 million+ concurrent players. That number is especially crazy considering the next closest competition is Dota 2 and CSGO (games that have been around for a while).
As PUBG continues its dominance of the PC market, one can’t help but wonder how many copies will ship out on the Xbox One. There is obvious demand for the product and Microsoft inking an exclusive deal (for now) with Bluehole, may be one of the greatest moves by Xbox in a while. Regardless, congrats to both PlayerUnknown and Bluehole for the tremendous success they are experiencing.
